The magical maximum came in the sixth frame to leave former International Champion Zhang 4-2 behind. His previous perfect runs came at the 2024 UK Championship, the 2023 International Championship final and in 2022 European Masters qualifying.

It puts him in line for the £10,000 high break prize attached to this event. Zhang’s maximum is the second to be made this season, following Fan Zhengyi’s 147 at the Championship League, and is the 219th in the history of professional snooker.
